I've been very slack with my morning routine recently. The wonderful Ron has been installing our beeyootiful new bathroom and we've been leaving him to it and heading to the Lido for an early morning swim (/shower!) so the usual smoothie action fell by the wayside.
The bathroom is almost done, Ron has gone, but a pile of over-ripe banana's remained, which is how these (kinda) American style banana pancakes entered our lives. Studded with sultanas soaked in spicy chai tea, they are so delicious and so satisfying. The smell delivered Ginger to the kitchen like a Bisto Kid and we ate them hot from the pan as they were ready, with plenty left over for illicit snacks. Cooked in a hot non-stick pan without butter, they're practically health food!
